Notes and observations from the experts…
The NFL Minute
Dallas over St. Louis — Don’t underestimate the Rams at this point. Another loss and they can kiss the playoffs goodbye. Desperate teams taking on undefeated teams can yield unexpected results.
Green Bay over Minnesota — Favre will likely break the touchdown record in the dome Sunday. And he’ll add to his already record-breaking number of career wins, even if the Packers don’t score a lot. The defense is hot right now, too hot for the Vikings to handle.
Indianapolis over Denver — The Broncos haven’t been able to stop the run all season and the Colts will take advantage of that. One thing, however, Indianapolis might struggle doing is scoring in the red zone. They haven’t done a great job inside the 20 all season. Meanwhile, Denver’s defense ranks among the league’s best in that category.

Buffalo over NY Jets - Their offense and defense have been atrocious thus far, but take a look at their competition. The first 3 games on the slate for the Bills was Denver, New England, and Pittsburgh. The Jets have been far from impressive this season and the home field advantage will allow Bufalo to upset the Jets getting their first victory of the season as Losman finally awakes. Buffalo 20 NY Jets 17
Arizona over Pittsburgh - Arizona lost its season opener 20-17 to San Francisco on a late field goal, then beat Seattle 23-20 on a last-second field goal before losing 26-23 at Baltimore on Matt Stover’s field goal as time expired. We all know that Whisenhunt and Grimm had this game circled on the schedule and the Cards will get a huge upset victory as they protect their home field. Arizona 21 Pittsburgh 20
Oakland over Miami - Lane Kiffen got his first career win last week as the Raiders erased the goose egg in the win column. While Miami has shown a renewed life on offense under Head Coach Cameron, the Raiders are playing better as a complete unit. Culpepper will get the nod at QB and will be absolutely juiced in this one to show his former club what they missed out on. Look for a high scoring game with the Raiders scoring the upset. Raiders 28 Dolphins 27

Atlanta over Houston — My upset special. Houston is getting hit hard injuries and Joey is slowly starting to figure it out.
Detroit over Chicago — Bears are to banged up on defense and I’m not so sure that the offense can hang with Detroit at home.

Detroit over Chiago- They finally did it…the Bears finally gave Rex the hook and now the reigns are handed over to veteran Brian Griese. But that won’t matter to me! The edge in my mind goes to Detroit with the high octane passing attack led by Jon Kitna going up against a depleted Chicago secondary. Nate Vasher, Mike Brown, Adam Archuletta, and Charles Tillman are all injured and are either questionable or out of this weekend’s game. Lions pull out a shocker!
Green Bay over Minnesota - The Vikings defense is tough and they’ll get a boost offensively with the return of starting running back Chester Taylor. Unfortunately for Minnesota fans, this game will be all about Brett Favre and the surprising Green Bay Packers. Congrats on the TD record Brett!
Indianapolis over Denver - The Colts have the most prolific passing offense of the last decade, but they’ll be tested this week when the #1 passing defense in the NFL comes to town. Look for a heavy dose of Joseph Addai while Peyton utilizes all of his passing options to stay away from Champ Bailey and Dre Bly. This might be a homecoming for Indiana native Jay Cutler, but it’ll be bitter sweet.
Fan Prophet
Indianapolis over Denver — Indy is simply too strong to lose at home against a Denver franchise that can’t stop the run and won’t stop Manning.
New England over Cincinnati — I know it’s early but the Pats are showing signs of going 16-0 this season. No way Cincy stops Moss and Brady as much as the Pats stop Chad, T.J., and Palmer. Fantasy Game of the Week.
