Portis says he’s ready for Sunday, Moss not
The Washington Redskins will be a hurting unit on offense Sunday without the support of Clinton Portis’ running game and Santana Moss’s receiving ability. Fortunately, Clinton Portis has declared himself ready to play.
“If I’m out there on Wednesday and Thursday, they ain’t got no choice but to let me out there on Sunday,” said Portis, who missed practice Monday but said his bruised and sprained right knee felt fine after a full workload yesterday. “It was limited [Wednesday], but today I ran full speed on numerous plays — run plays and pass plays — and it felt good.”

Top 10 Undervalued Fantasy Picks (Sleepers)

Some players who break out are passed over each year. Maybe it’s because owners aren’t informed that the player just received the starting spot or maybe they anticipate the player to be average. Whatever the reason, you can look like a fantasy god if you find the right pick at the right time.
Below is a top 10 of the players I believe are currently undervalued by most fantasy publications/owners for one reason or another.
10. Donovan McNabb — McNabb is one of the most dominant fantasy quarterbacks when he’s healthy. But everyone is bracing for him to experience yet another injury. Good news for you because if he isn’t he’ll put up 250+ yards and 2 touchdowns every game he suits up in 2007.

Is Portis worth the risk?

Clinton Portis is once again graded by fantasy experts as a first round running back, based mostly on potential. But those experts would be wise to caution owners before they make the plunge. After all, he does have something of a history of injuries.
So, do you draft him? Do you avoid him like the bubonic plague? That’s the question burning on some owners’ minds, especially those owners who have a chip on their shoulder from when Portis burned them last season.
Me, I’m not going to be the guy in my league who drafts Portis and sweats it out every Sunday, hoping to God he doesn’t get hurt. The potential Portis brings is enormous, but is he really worth the high risk, high reward? Not in my mind. For my draft pick, there are safer players to be had, players who can perform at a level close to or equal to Portis without carrying the risk of a nagging injury.

Goodell slams Portis’ remarks

In arguably the best example of a statement qualifying for Mike and Mike’s “Just Shut Up” award, Clinton Portis stunned everyone — probably even Vick — when he questioned authorities investigating the Michael Vick dog fighting case.
