Did the Denver Broncos walk away with a steal when they acquired Brandon Stokley?
Often criticized for being injury-prone, Stokley was the biggest surprise of the Broncos’ camp when he played opposite Javon Walker on the opening day of camp as Jay Cutler’s number two target.
“This is a big step for me,” Stokley said. “I’m ahead of schedule. … As far as I’m concerned, I’m full go. I’m ready to go. It felt great out there.”
Could he prove to be a capable fantasy wide receiver?
Probably not. As much as I can appreciate Stokley’s recovery, he remains an injury waiting to happen. And even if he doesn’t, the best you can expect is for him to line up as the team’s number three wide receiver, a position he will battle veteran Rod Smith for.

In what could be Brett Favre’s final season, the Packers had hoped to enter camp with optimism. But Donald Driver is raising eyebrows with a nagging shoulder injury which has sapped his strength and consequently landed him a spot on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
It’s a hard blow to the Packers because Driver has been the team’s leading wide receiver for the past two seasons and Brett Favre’s only reliable target.
Fantasy owners too will feel the repercussions if Driver misses playing time during the regular season; he finished 2006 as the number five fantasy receiver and he has been in the top 15 in four of the past five seasons.

Two years ago McNabb would have been considered one of the premier fantasy football quarterbacks. He was coming off the best season of his career in 2004, when he threw for 3875 yards and 31 touchdowns, not to mention Terrell Owens hadn’t yet severed the team’s locker room.
But since 2004 fantasy owners have pounded their heads into many a wall in frustration. McNabb has missed the second half of each of the past two seasons, 7 games in 2005 and 6 games in 2006, and he’s only played 3 16-game seasons in his 8-year career.
So, when do you draft him this year? Sure, he blew defenses up in the games he did play, but can McNabb be counted on as a fantasy team’s starting quarterback? Does the risk of injury outweigh his potential?

Though it is generally accepted each season that Peyton Manning will be the first quarterback drafted, there is some unsettled debate as to who should be taken second and thereafter.
The usual candidates return: Tom Brady, Matt Hasselbeck, Marc Bulger, and Carson Palmer. But a new contender entered the fray last season, Drew Brees. His unprecedented 4418 yards, 26 touchdowns, and mere 11 interceptions gave him the nod as the second best producer at quarterback in 2006.
Fantasy owners, meet your top six fantasy quarterbacks for the 2007 season:

Full story at Sun-Sentinel:
Dolphins quarterback Daunte Culpepper said he won’t fully participate in the team’s first 2007 minicamp next weekend as his 17-month rehabilitation from a major knee injury continues.
Culpepper, though, remains optimistic about regaining the form that made him one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks in 2004 even though his future with the Dolphins remains in question as the team considers other options at the position.
“When I’m healthy it won’t matter,” Culpepper said after a recent workout. “Without a doubt, [I'm still the man]. I definitely want to be the [Dolphins'] quarterback and that’s what I’m working hard to be. Like I said, when I’m healthy, it’s no issue.”
