About
The NFL Minute launched April, 2007 hoping to make an impact and inform fantasy footballers with the latest news and advice. Since then, it has gone through several distinct periods of development. First, the news/analysis period in which I took it upon myself to break down every bit of news that hit the wire. Second, the opinionated columns and editorials period during which I told readers how I feel about the Patriots cheating, Brett Favre’s MVP candidacy, and the Giants winning the Super Bowl. Third, was the “I need to rethink this site and what it’s all about period,” in which almost no updates were made from February to April, 2008.
This is the fourth stage of development. I’m a bit wiser, now, both when it comes to fantasy football (more on that in the P.S. section) and when it comes to writing. I love football and this is the where I’ll be talking about it. This is a blog about pro football, about the league that I love. I’m going to talk about fantasy football, too. There will be opinions and discussions on a daily basis, and you’re more than welcome to join me.
If you’re looking for stats and fantasy football advice and things you might find on non-blogs, then check out my writing at Sports Data Hub. If you’re looking for a discussion about fantasy football — or football in general, for that matter — then this is the place to be.
I hope you enjoy your visit and be sure to come back soon.
Cheers,
Tom V.
P.S. In 2007, The NFL Minute’s first annual draft guide was created and thousands of visitors read it and at least one gave it a solid review. The funny thing is, this was not your average draft guide. There were no “cheat-sheets” or rankings of players. There was no “draft this guy first, this guy second, and this guy third.”
Instead, the guide examined the most common fantasy football questions (Is Vince Young a Starting Fantasy Quarterback) and strategies (i.e. The Strategy That Goes Into Drafting Peyton Manning in the First Round). It got the conversation rolling.
There are no sure-fire things in fantasy football. Only questions. But these questions aren’t always looked at from every angle. Magazines don’t have the space to write about these topics and this site is the perfect place to throw in your own comments and get a discussion going.
