Quinn’s “Cheap Shot” Earns Fine

Browns Quarterback Brady Quinn was fined by the NFL today for his low hit on Ravens defender Terrell Suggs. Quinn’s illegal hit resulted in a knee sprain for Suggs and brought a hailstorm of comments and criticisms.

He’s Out!

Dick Jauron was handed a pink slip today after coaching the Bills to an abysmal 3-6 start. It is the team’s worst record through 9 games since Jauron took over in 2006. Jauron coached the Bills to three consecutive 7-9 seasons prior to 2009, but Buffalo has lost 14 of their last 19 games.

No Man-genius

Last night marked the second time this season the Cleveland Browns held an opponent to under 20 points.

Too bad it was also the sixth time Mangini’s offense failed to put up at least seven.

Peyton Manning and the Colts improved to 9-0 Sunday Night by overcoming a 17-point fourth quarter deficit.

Gruden Signs ESPN Extension

Jon Gruden has been tied to various coaching jobs as the NFL season has progressed and more head coaches have moved to the hot seat, but news from ESPN today may suggest he’s satisfied working alongside Ron Jaworski and Mike Tirico as an analyst.
