It seems the Colts may have to do without running back Joseph Addai and safety Bob Sanders for at least one more week. The team has listed both players as “doubtful” for Monday night’s game against the Tennessee Titans, a division game that is especially important for Indianapolis at this juncture in the season.
The Colts are coming off a beating the team took against the Packers last week. The loss came after two consecutive victories, and it was largely viewed as a surprise that the Colts lost by the margin they did - the final was 34-14.
Doubtful generally means that the player in question has a 25 percent chance of playing. Bob Sanders is perhaps the more important of the two players because he plays such a great role on defense, as the hard-hitting safety who offers exceptional run support. Stopping the run has been Indianapolis’s greatest weakness this season.
