A pair of bloggers answer 10 key fantasy football questions

The following ten questions were presented to two fantasy football bloggers. The first is Aaron McGhee (AM) of FanProphet.com and the second is Corey Koehler (CK) of FantasyFootballGoat.com.

In 2006 it was LT; who is 2007’s fantasy football MVP?

AM: The more I evaluate this situation the more I realize that LT is the man and will remain that way until someone proves otherwise.

CK: Steven Jackson

What do you think about Indianapolis’ Joseph Addai?

AM: Addai is in the best situation as a running back in the NFL. Complemented by a great pass game and being as explosive as he is, he will have a great season.

CK: Solid. You know the job is his, all by himself plus he’s on a scoring machine.

What kind of season do you project for Miami’s Trent Green?

AM: A slow start, but he will improve as the season progresses. Look for Green to hit stride around week 8 of the season.

CK: It is all up to the performance of his o-line. If they perform, he could be an alright #2 option at QB.

Who tops your board at wide receiver?

AM: Terrell Owens, Marvin Harrison, Steve Smith

CK: Steve Smith

Which rookies do you see making a significant impact?

AM: Calvin Johnson and Adrian Peterson

CK: RB Marshawn Lynch BUF, RB Adrian Peterson MN, WR James Jones GB, WR/KR Jacoby Jones HOU

Who is your deepest sleeper?

AM: I personally cannot call this player a sleeper but the majority of the general public believes Brandon Jacobs will not have a good season. I think otherwise!

CK: WR Jacoby Jones of Houston

How do you feel about Arizona’s offense?

AM: Emerging, and may end up being a team to fear by mid-season. With Leinart improving and the leadership of James, along with two great wide-outs, this team should produce a lot of points.

CK: Solid passing game, of course, but they need to show us that they can run the ball. And I think they will.

Would you draft Vince Young before players like Philip Rivers, Jay Cutler, and Matt Leinart?

AM: NO! If I wanted a runningback I would draft one.

CK: Yes. Already did in two of my leagues. They all have great upside but he is the focal point on his team, he is the star. Also, his running ability provides you with the dual threat ( I like getting sixes out of my QB’s).

What do you see in store for Houston’s offense in 2007?

AM: Nothing!

CK: Fantasy-wise, I think their offense will improve. Schaub looks like he can give them a little fire in the huddle. Ahman Green could be a nice value but will be surrendering some short yardage work to Dayne. And remember, keep an eye on Jacoby Jones at wide receiver, especially in deeper leagues.

Last question: who’s your Super Bowl pick?

AM: Wow, this is a tough question. Right now I have to go with New England. They are the most complete team with the best head coach in the game.

CK: I’d be stupid not to pick New England.

I finally got my computer back running and had time to come check this out. I love it! That’s all I can say!

which quarterback should i start this week,Hasselbeck or Andersen?

If you mean Derek Anderson, I’d definitely go with Hasselbeck. Anderson faces the Ravens, a defense that won’t surrender a yard without a struggle. Hasselbeck, meanwhile, is one of the NFL’s better quarterbacks, coming off a solid performance last week.
