Gamers, brace yourselves: the 60 GB Sony PS3 has had its hefty price tag of $599 dropped to $499.
That’s right. The system with stunning graphics, most oft-criticized for being extravagantly overpriced, has had it’s price tag axed by a cool $100.
And what better time to experience the PS3? After all, Madden 08 ships out August 14 while its counterpart, NCAA 08, ships in three days!

I want a PS3 guite badly, but even with the drop its still dang expensive. I still am getting ncaa 08 for the PS2 so ill be good for another year
I own an X-Box 360, so I don’t plan to buy a PS3.
PS2 should suit you for another year; hopefully by then the 360 or PS3 will drop again
