This isn’t the way Miami planned it.
Chris Chambers, widely considered a disappointment last season, was expecting to experience a fantasy rebirth in 2007 with the help of newly acquired quarterback Trent Green. Unfortunately, the former Wisconsin wide receiver has recently been arrested — it’s his first offense — on charges of driving while impaired, reckless driving and speeding.
Because it is his first offense, however, he probably won’t be severely punished. That said, you can expect him to be suspended one regular season game, either by the league or the team.
Chambers is the second Dolphin arrested in the last three weeks. Defensive tackle Fred Evans was arrested on June 23 and released shortly thereafter.

What an idiot! I had Chambers looking good this season.
Me too. It’s a shame he had to do this. At least his suspension should be relatively lightweight seeing as this is his first offense, so he should still see plenty of games.
