Romo — a one-hit wonder?

Tony Romo makes owners wonder about his future

I’ve noticed on NFL Total Access and other related programs that Tony Romo is being called into question. Some think that he may be a “one-hit wonder,” the type of player who explodes onto the scene one season and quickly fades out the next.

Is that the case?

I don’t think so. Personally, I believe that Romo will continue to mature as a quarterback.  A season with around 3300 yards and 20-22 touchdowns is what I am predicting at this point.

On a similar note, I don’t expect wide receiver Terrell Owens to pull any “T.O.” stunts next season, either. Romo showed last season that he trusts Owens as his number one target, and he will throw him the football.

What do you think? Is Romo a “one-hit wonder” or will be play at a similar level in 2007? Will Owens create controversy again this season, or will he finally learn to shut up?

I wish I had an answer for this. It’s hard telling because Romo does have two very good receivers around him. That’s a luxury he has for now and if he plays well alongside Glenn/Owens then it really doesn’t matter. They will make him look great as long as he plays within his abilities.
