Tank Johnson awaits a potential suspension

And now we wait. Tank Johnson met with Commissioner Roger Goodell Wednesday before the latter decides whether or not to suspend Johnson for off-field issues.

Johnson was released Sunday from Cook County Jail after spending 60 days behind bars after violating his parole stemming from a weapons arrest. He also had pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor weapons charge following a raid on his Illinois home, but he was able to serve the 45-day sentence from that charge at the same time.

If nothing else, the Bears and Johnson are hoping for a lesser sentence than Chris Henry and Pacman Jones. Each was suspended by Goodell for eight games and a full season, respectively.
