Burress present but Shockey a no-show at voluntary camp
The Giants are preparing to practice the tradition of luring tight end Jeremy Shockey out of Florida and back to New York. But, thankfully, the team doesn’t need to worry about wide receiver Plaxico Burress this year.
Burress was present on Tuesday to play catch with quarterback Eli Manning, who was happy that (for once) one of his primary targets would be in camp. That’s great news for fans of the Giants because it will allow Manning to work out with a primary wide receiver, and it will definitely go a long ways in improving their chemistry and timing.
Asked if Manning’s other primary target, Shockey, would show up, Burress remained optimistic.
“I think he’ll show up,†Burress said.

Shockey is a mouthy over-rated crybaby. At best he should be used for a practice squad, should he aquire the skills to shut up. Let the Redskins D light him up like a christmas tree this season…..I can already hear him crying now.
True, Shockey is one of the more overrated tight ends in the NFL and his gameplay doesn’t justify his mouth.
Sounds like you’re a ‘Skins fan
