Pacman Jones’ appeal is scheduled to be heard by commissioner Goodell on Friday. Jones is appealing a season-long suspension dished out when the league instituted a new, more strict policy of punishing players who have multiple run-ins with the law.

In Jones’ case, that meant 10 arrests and an alleged shooting in Las Vegas that left a man paralyzed. Pacman is hoping to ease up the suspension to miss only 3/4 of the season. Goodell will hear the appeal and make his own ruling, so Jones shouldn’t get his hopes too high.
