The Philadelphia Eagles decided to add defensive tackle Ian Scott to the roster today with a one year contract. After visiting several clubs, most recently the New England Patriots, Scott was considered one of the premier free agents remaining in the pool.
Scott has played backup to Tank Johnson in Chicago over the past several seasons after being drafted in the fourth round. But in Tank’s absence — after being accused of gun crimes — Scott started part of last season, including the Super Bowl. The Eagles were wise to pick up someone of his caliber.
