After being released by the Carolina Panthers earlier this week, wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson is looking for work. And, according to his agent, “several teams have expressed interest in Johnson and that he does have offers.”
No real surprise there; Johnson, 35, still has game and isn’t ready to move onto his second career. Johnson is still a good 3rd receiver for any team looking for a mentor and someone who can still run his routes and catch the ball. Teams are aplenty when it comes to searching for receivers with those credentials. Atlanta signed Joe Horn this offseason and is unlikely to invest in another aging receiver, but other suitors do exist.
Expect Johnson to sign as a third receiver before summer.
