On the outside Miami is playing newly drafted Ted Ginn Jr.’s injury cool, but on the inside they must be worrying at least a little bit. Ginn, Miami’s first round draft choice (9th overall), was injured in January with a midfoot sprain that will keep him out of the team’s minicamps. ESPN reported that he will be in a boot for at least another 6 weeks, but the Dolphins denied that rumor.
Ginn is the team’s latest acquisition at wide receiver. Head coach Cam Cameron was greeted with a mix of boos and cheers when he announced the pick at the Dolphins draft party, mostly because it meant passing on quarterback Brady Quinn. The Dolphins status at quarterback counts on a trade for Trent Green getting done, but Kansas City is being stubborn in their (unfair) demands.
