Minnesota drafts Peterson
With the 7th overall selection of the 2007 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings have selected Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson. While he has been labeled as a “bust” by some draftniks, the Vikings did well to take him at 7th overall. He’s a better running back than Chester Taylor, the team’s current back, and he has great quickness and power. His only major concern is injuries; he hasn’t played a full season since 2004 when he ran for more than 1900 yards — 47% of his college total.

Taylor is a great RB. Peterson will give them a new weapon on Offense, something sorely needed
