The Palm Beach Post is happy to report that a deal to send Trent Green to Miami is in its final stages. The rumors of the trade have been around for some time now; longer than a month, actually. But a source has told the paper that a deal should be finished by the end of the draft.

Its impact on the draft? It’s less likely the Dolphins will strongly pursue quarterback Brady Quinn. If he falls in their lap at the ninth overall spot, don’t be surprised if they draft him. But don’t expect them to be wielding a draft day trade that will move them up to guarantee him a spot on the roster.
