With the 8th overall pick of the 2007 NFL Draft, Atlanta has opted to draft defense with the selection of Arkansas end Jamaal Anderson. Head coach Bobby Petrino reportedly likes Anderson and it’s of little wonder they settled on him. With Adrian Peterson, LaRon Landry, and Calvin Johnson — all Atlanta targets — off the board, the only other option would have been Petrino’s own Amobi Okoye. He coached Okoye, a defensive tackle, last year at Louisville.
