Miami is dealing Booker. Trent Green, anyone? Also, team intersted in Ginn Jr.

Ohio State wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. is reportedly being eyed by the Miami Dolphins. Head coach Cam Cameron is interested in Ginn and has known the receiver since he was 13 years old. Miami has also reportedly put Marty Booker on the team’s trading block making it a matter of time before the soon-to-be 31 year old receiver is shipped off to a team willing to pick up his $3.1 million salary (in 07; it will be $4.3 million in 2008) in exchange for draft picks. And it begs the question, Could the team finally make a trade for Trent Green using Booker as bait?

Booker has been a solid contributor to the team since he joined in 2004, catching 144 passes for 2077 yards in the three years since. No doubt the team will miss him, but business is business and Ginn would be a good successor to add depth to the position. While he is on the smaller side — 6′0 on his toes, 176 pounds — Ginn has blazing speed and he would add a quality kick/punt returner to the roster. He is a projected first round prospect; Miami picks 9th and 40th overall.
