Coming shortly after a report from Pro Football Weekly cited three NFL players overheard during interviews admitting to marijuana use, commissioner Roger Goodell has warned all 32 teams to keep interviews with prospects confidential. Clubs will be disciplined for conduct detrimental to the league if there are any leaks.
Goodell’s enforcement of policies thus far have included suspending cornerback Pacman Jones for an entire season — recently being appealed — and suspending Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry for eight games. No doubt, Goodell is strict — though just — in his policies and punishments.
