Full story at Tennessean.com:

Pacman Jones has a lot to lose during an NFL suspension. Not just games, but money.

Commissioner Roger Goodell is expected to suspend the Titans cornerback soon for his multiple off-the-field issues. Predictions on the length of the suspension have ranged from a few games to the entire season.

Jones stands to lose up to $181,900 for each game he’s suspended — roughly $76,000 in base salary and a possible $105,900 if the Titans withhold prorated bonus money.

So a six-game suspension could cost Jones more than $1 million.

Naturally, Goodell will suspend Pacman; no doubt there. And chances are, he plans to make an example of the Titans’ defensive back.

His actions — present during Vegas shooting that left two men dead and one paralyzed being the latest in his storied history (see complete rap sheet here) — have tainted his name and reputation. But it isn’t only Pacman who will be affected.

Expect players who wear stripes (see: Cincinnati Bengals) like Chris Henry to be adversely, though justly, affected through Goodell’s punishment.

While we often kid that the NFL is the “No Fun League,” crimes and felonies are certainly no joking matter. Goodell will dish out punishment, and that’s exactly what the league needs.
